Pop-up show at the Tropenmuseum for Dutch Doc Award, a yearly prize for documentary photography, presenting works by 6 nominees.
This exhibition was designed as a series. Reoccurring visual elements – monumental partitions, dynamic lighting and gradual use of color – gave the show it’s distinct identity.
The first edition featured mint green walls flashing from the sides, referencing the flash of a photo camera. The shifting green color on the walls represented nuance, a fundamental characteristic in documentary photography.
